“Life is like a snowball. The important thing is finding wet snow and a really long hill.”

Even as a child  Buffett  displayed an interest in making and saving money. He went door to door selling chewing gum, Coca-Cola, or weekly magazines. For a while, he worked in his grandfather's grocery store. While still in high school he was successful in making money by delivering newspapers, selling golf balls and stamps, and detailing cars, among other means. Buffett loved math to the extent of earning him a senior yearbook title that reads ‘Likes math; a future stockbroker.’ In his life journey, Warren Buffett believes that the most important success element is to save. He said: “Start saving and make investments as soon as possible for it is the most noteworthy habit of all good habits. control because you will only find yourself emptying your own wallet for things that you do not need. The habit of saving is the cornerstone of every wealthy person.”

Warren Buffett  describes how he relates life to a snowball in a book called ‘The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life’. The biography writes: “Life is typically like a snowball. All you need to do is find wet snow and a really long hill. Be mindful of the hill. Choose a right hill to lay your snowball, because if your snowball gets stuck somewhere along the route, it is almost impossible to carry it back up and try a different route. Of course, money is not the only thing that you pick up as you roll your snowball. Be mindful and be open-minded. Explore the world, make friends, and earn yourself a good name. Life is not just about rolling your snowball, but also helping other people who are stuck along the way.”
